Cambourne F.C was created in 2009 at the request of the children who wanted to play for their village. The club started with two under 8 teams, one team playing a year up and one under 15 team. Since the creation of Cambourne F.C the club has gone from strength to strength. In the clubs first year, Cambourne F.C was awarded the 'Charter Standard' and was one of only four clubs to be awarded by the Mini League for the way the club was run.
In Cambourne F.C's second season we were able to field teams in the under 7, 8, 9, 12 and 16 age groups as well as hold a weekly Soccer School for the younger children.
Cambourne F.C went on to link with the Cambourne men's team so that when the Colts league came to an end, players would have the choice of a smooth transition into men's football.
Cambourne F.C have also developed the Committee which started being mainly built up from the U15 parents to now being formed of parents from the different age group teams.
Cambourne F.C are also fortunate enough to have four club secretaries who handle the day to day running of the club.
Within two years of being formed Cambourne F.C became the largest youth team in Cambourne and are continuing to grow in both memebers and strength.
